Trent Praski - President
Trent Praski is the President of Urban Edge Investments Inc. Since 2001, Trent has been involved in real estate investing and development. Initial expertise was in property management and wealth creation through buy and hold investment strategies. In the past 10 years Trent has taken the lead role in over 12 million dollars of real estate development. These projects primarily involved new single family and 4-plex construction, condominium conversions and land redevelopment and subdivision. As the director of these projects, Trent was the executive decision maker for financial, operational, management, marketing and sales decisions.
Trent completed his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in 2001 with emphasis on Marketing and International Business. Part of his business training was at the Jonkoping International Business School in Sweden and an international consulting project in Ukraine. Upon completion of his MBA, Trent was hired on as Senior Associate with Management Consulting firm, Power Plus Systems, in Calgary. He was then hired on with Novartis Pharmaceuticals and Johnson & Johnson from 2002 to 2006.
Prior to completing his MBA, Trent completed a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Education. His teaching experience took him to South Korea where he taught English as a Second Language and New Zealand where he taught grades 4 through 6.
In 2007 he completed his first major real estate development project consisting of an 18-unit condominium conversion. The project was a huge success as it was on time and on budget with profits matching expectations within $10,000.
Trent is also a licensed realtor, licensed home builder and past member of REIN Calgary (Real Estate Investment Network).
